As we are London this week, we take a little look at some UK statistics. In 2020, Women in CTRL found that just 3% of songs in the UK 100 Airplay Charts had women credited as producers. We cannot stress enough the power of radio – another area in which needs to continue to be considered for gender parity and intersectional representation. From inclusion in the recording studio to representation as radio staff, broadcasters etc, as usual, we know it’s change needed across all elements of the industry simultaneously.
