To continue to challenge ourselves to shed light on a diverse range of topics and genres in the industry, today we look at the world of composers. For some insight, in their research ‘Inequality In Music: Women Composers By Numbers 2018/2019’, Drama Musica gathered information from the 2018-2019 seasons that have been programmed by 15 major orchestras worldwide. It found that out of 1445 concerts worldwide, only 76 (5.3%) included works by women composers!
