To improve and decrease the gap, the UN Women brief ‘Tackling the Gender Pay Gap’ concluded that reforms need to take three areas into consideration for reforming employment institutions across the board. These may seem simplistic, but deeply embedded societal and cultural ‘norms’ around gender need these fundamental, basic changes in order for change to fully take effect. These are also areas that should have a parallel intersectional commitment. We encourage you to read the brief in more depth, and if you are in a position to make these positive changes, look to implementing this!
