As we shift beyond gender as a movement, let’s take another look at the latest Annenberg Inclusion Initiative report released earlier this year. The disparity between on and off stage roles are even starker, and even more so when race combined (what a surprise!). A simultaneous intersectional approach, from grassroots education, to the top, we also need to consider and employ safety at the core. Yes, we may be obsessed with statistics and if the numbers don’t persuade and push you into action for an equitable industry, we really don’t know what will.
