In the study Leading the Fight Against the Pandemic: Does Gender ‘Really’ Matter? published by the Centre for Economic Policy Research and the World Economic Forum, it found that of 194 countries, the 19 women led countries dealt better with the Covid-19 pandemic. With lower death rates and cases, a direct result of their policy response, for cynics, the data collation and comparison is outlined where countries of similar population, wealth, and socio-economics were taken into consideration. Take a moment to ponder this. If this is the impact that women have in a global, world leader context with their policy implementation, think about the top down changes gender representation will bring within the music industry, in board rooms, CEO positions, funding decisions, artist selections - the list goes on!
