Equaly, founded in 2021, it is the first Italian organisation specifically addressing gender equality within the music industry. Equaly is a community of womxn and people of underrepresented genders who are singer-songwriters, performers, musicians, producers, sound engineers, tour managers, production managers, press offices, promoters, A&R, legal, product managers, licensing managers, students and want to come together to network and raise their voices against discrimination based on gender.

Our mission, descripted in the 10 points of the EQUALY MANIFESTO, aims to deconstruct gender stereotypes, create awareness, provide positive models, offer continuous training, network and highlight women and people who identify as a underrepresented gender.

And men? What role do they play in all this? We are convinced that the achievement of equality also depends on the contribution of men and their awareness of the state of imbalance. We believe that overcoming all aspects related to sexism is crucial for the emancipation of the male gender as well.
