Islet
Emma Daman Thomas is a Welsh-Indian musician based in rural Powys, Wales. She is a vocalist, songwriter, drummer and founding member of the experimental pop band Islet. Formed in 2009, Islet quickly became known for their explosive instrument-switching live performances. They’ve released three EPs, two albums, toured and played festivals worldwide (UK, EU, USA, Japan, South Korea). In 2019 Islet signed to psychedelic pop label Fire Records and their third album ‘Eyelet’ will be released 6 March 2020. On the new album Emma has moved into focus as lead singer, with subjects encompassing race, grief and motherhood.
