Maarja Merivoo-Parro / Aprillo
Maarja Merivoo-Parro is executive editor of new and alternative music station Raadio 2, part of Estonian Public Broadcasting. As a Fulbright scholar with a PhD in history, Maarja is known for her in-depth talk shows and has made it her mission to find new talent and nurture the cultural ecosystem surrounding it. Because of her broad field of expertise, she has lectured internationally as well as served on music boards and juries, and this year marks the fourth time she curates the public Talks forum for Tallinn Music Week.
Maarja recently launched her solo artist project as Aprillo which had been a long time coming. The first stop on Aprillo’s journey is debut song “Love The Door”: a track about the intricacies of belonging. The next destination of the Aprillo-train will be very different and quite unlike the one after that. Aprillo is going places, so all aboard!
