With the overall pause on events the past couple of years, today we think about live music venues and festivals catering for access needs and hope that they have taken this time to reflect on this. The State of Access Report (2016) from Attitude is Everything focuses on deaf and disabled people, breaks down 386 venue and festival websites, analysing their access information – highlighting a worrying lack of such information in the first instance! If this isn’t provided from the off, what hope is there that one can even confidently make a decision that even basic access needs would be met?
