The gender gap relates to EVERYTHING that we do. From our work and social spheres, to the home, the relationships we have with other humans – deeply embedded patriarchal structures must continue to be challenged and changed. The World Economic Forum found that at the current rate, it’s 132 to gender parity! No doubt the past couple of years also plays a role in the impact – as we know, time and time again, the ongoing disastrous consequences of the pandemic impact women and gender minorities disproportionately. This, alongside the main challenges identified in the report: political empowerment, economic participation and opportunity, and education attainment.
