A follow on from last year’s reporting on gender pay gaps in large organisations for 2020 in the UK, we find that (depressingly), both the median and mean pay gap have increased for the latest 2021 figures for three of the major labels. We continue to remind everyone that accountability and transparency in pay is crucial to closing the gap so that pay is a fair representation of skills, experience and tasks rather than an arbitrary one, which is detrimental to women, gender minorities and other underrepresented groups.
