The year fast draws to a close and before 2023 sales and trends are rounded up and analysed, here are some figures compiled by music community and collective, Equaly, earlier this year on the state of the Italian charts. We also not only find the numbers relating to the proportion of women featured in best-selling albums for 2022, but also see a comparative analysis. Apart from 2016 where there was a rise, the number of women on the best-selling album charts otherwise drop year-on-year from 2012-2022.
