Friday Figures - 7 Jul
We cannot deny the layers of intersection that lead to multiple barriers in the industry, and we often refer to beyond gender, such as race and disability. The lived experience is pivotal in understanding what this means and how we can look to levelling the playing field. We look at the Unseen Unheard report again from Attitude is Everything and Black Lives in Music (BLIM) who make a crucial addition here with regards to the socio-economic factor. We would also love to dig into more reports that take statistical consideration of what we also call class. Do you know of any reports or research in the music industry that expands to other intersectional areas that may not be so obvious?
