In Eurostat‘s report covering cultural participation, it found almost two thirds of women (63.8 %) in the EU-28 reported that they took part in at least one cultural activity which is great. Even better, whilst for men it was also approximately the same, there was a 4.2% larger (percentage points) of women than men specifically attending live performances – it then goes without saying that gender representation is painfully low onstage given the level of cultural engagement. This is worth noting – women and gender minorities need to be represented and seen! Diversify your music consumption!
