Friday Figures - 3 Nov

As we are in Oslo and Reykjavik this week, let’s look at the latest figures from Balansekunst and Norway. Whilst the Scandinavian countries may overall fare better with gender equity, issues persist. When we speak about change in all areas of the industry, we also have to look at behind-the-scenes, production, and technical roles and compare this with education and music schools specialising in production and technical positions with the students coming through this pipeline. Are we being inclusive with opportunities and talent development for women and gender diverse talent coming through in these male-dominated spaces once they have graduated?
