Keychange EU announce the new bespoke Keychange Canada programme participants for 2024
- A total of 9 new participants have joined the Keychange Canada programme.
- The participants will be supported to progress their careers via Liverpool Sound City, Reeperbahn Festival and BIME.
- Led by PRS Foundation with core partners Reeperbahn Festival and Musikcentrum Öst, in partnership with FACTOR Canada, and with the support of Socan Foundation and Creative Europe.
Keychange, the pioneering international initiative for gender equity in the music industry is pleased to announce the 2024 cohort of the latest Keychange participants who are to take part in a bespoke programme of events for Canada based artists and innovators, aiming to highlight them through participation in three festivals in Europe.
A total of nine participants, including 4 artists and 5 innovators, have been collaboratively selected to participate in Liverpool Sound City (May 2024), Reeperbahn Festival (September 204) and BIME (October 2024).
Comprising artistic and music industry professional talent who are already leaders in their field (in performance, composition, production, management, synch and beyond), participants are selected by industry experts as future leaders of the global movement for gender equity. The innovative six-month Talent Development Programme provides women and gender-diverse participants with the space and opportunity to acquire new experiences, skills, resources and networks, deepening and broadening their area of expertise.
The programme launched at Liverpool Sound City on the 4th of May, and continues with a Full Network Meet Up in Hamburg at the esteemed Reeperbahn Festival, with showcase and speaking opportunities for selected participants. The programme will conclude in Bilbao, Spain at the end of October at BIME Festival.
