With an impressive career spanning over 3 decades, Mari is an artist whose music is infused with her Sámi roots, inspiring indigenous artists and touching people’s minds, souls and hearts the world over - an integral representative of the Sámi culture. As an artist and activist, she has worked tirelessly for the recognition and preservation of Sámi culture, inspiring younger generations to be proud of their unique roots. Mari has also released more than a dozen highly-acclaimed solo albums and collaborated with notable Norwegian jazz musicians like Jan Garbarek and Bugge Wesseltoft.
