MIM LATAM
Meeting of Women in the Latin American Music Industry, which carries out various activities designed to highlight the role of women and dissent in the Latin American Music Industry from Panama and focuses on making visible women in music who are referents of the new generations of artists and professionals.
The main axis is to contribute to the development and integration of music industries and markets through training and access to information for various agents in the production chain of the music field, from cultural work and gender equality activism making visible the discrimination that affects women in all areas of artistic creation.
The themes that the Women, Music and Territory Meeting develops are based on music in its different genres as a communication channel, creating a necessary scenario for dialogue where artistic expressions are the pretext to generate these spaces for discussion and meeting where women are the protagonist, highlighting social and cultural processes with a gender approach, claiming identity, diversity, origin in the fight for equality in Latin America.
