Vinjerock
Since 2006, Vinjerock has taken place over three days in July. At 1060 meters above sea level, at the entrance of Jotunheimen national park, 3500 people gather to listen to quality live music and enjoy the outdoors. The festival line up is set with 25 bands and artists in the pop, rock or folk genre.
Vinjerock sets out to surprise the festival audience with bands they never knew they loved. The days at Vinjerock are filled with activities such as kayaking on the mountain lake, climbing alpine peaks, knitting classes or speed dating in the heather. The setting in the middle of nature comes with a great responsibility. Vinjerock has done a great deal to minimize the environmental impact from the festival, and always aims to do better. Through the year, Vinjerock contributes to the small community in Vang with small events, until it is time for the next festival in the mountains.
