Hafdis Huld
Hafdís Huld is an Icelandic folk/pop artist with an international audience in over 65 countries. She has over 27 million Spotify streams and her album of Icelandic lullabies was Icelands number one album of 2020. Aged 16, she toured the world with Icelandic electro-collective Gus Gus, before collaborating with FC Kahuna on international hits ‘Hayling’ and ‘Machine Say Yes’. After graduating from music college in London Hafdis released her debut album which won best pop album at the Icelandic music awards that year, and has released 6 albums since. Her live shows blend her natural gift for song-writing and performance with humour and a direct connection with her audiences. She writes and records her music with husband Alisdair Wright at their studio in Mosfellsdalur where they live in a pink house by the river with their two young children, a cat, a dog, a rabbit and some chickens.
