Iza Smelczyńska

Iza Smelczyńska deals with sound from many perspectives. As composer, sound artist and performer she is interested mostly in avant-garde and experimental music. She is into collecting sounds and preparing new sound devices – all of these things shape her electroacoustic work. As a musicologist and journalist her research is focused on soundscapes studies, sound education and different ways of listening – not only to music, but also to the sounds of everyday life. She has performed on stage both as a soloist and in various collaborations.
