Rachel Weldon
Rachel Weldon is the founder and director of Debaser, a non-profit music presenter organization. Since 2013, Rachel has overseen Debaser’s development into Ottawa’s leading underground music presenter and events organizer, producing four festivals and over a dozen events per year. Throughout this growth, Rachel has steered Debaser to remain true to its core values of supporting underrepresented and experimental artists, offering thoughtfully curated event experiences, and promoting diversity, accessibility, and inclusivity. In 2021, Rachel founded Pique, a quarterly festival series in Ottawa, which supports more than 80 innovative artists and welcomes more than 5,000 audience members per year.
