A more positive figure around recognition for women is the nominations for Best New Artist category at the Grammy Awards. Interestingly, however, it is important to note that whilst this figure was at 75% in 2021, it dropped significantly to 38.5% in 2022. So many questions arise around the inconsistencies as well as the averages of all other Grammy nominations over the course of a decade – which have seen little change and continue to be heavily and significantly skewed in favour of men.
