Lola Frichet

As we continue to recognise activism across our partner countries, we were honoured to present the latest Keychange Inspiration Award to Lola Frichet at MaMA Festival in Paris. Going from slogan to movement, musician and bassist, Lola Frichet, founded More Women On Stage. From creating festivals, providing resources to connecting talent, More Women On Stage works innovatively and tirelessly to give platform and visibility to women and gender diverse talent - not only on the stage, but also to other roles from technicians working on and behind the stage, light and sound and more. Although Lola couldn’t be there, we have a little video to share with you.

Lola Frichet is a bass player in the punk/metal band Pogo Car Crash Control. 

She started the music as a child in the conservatory to play classical guitar. When she was 12 she started to form rock bands with his friends. Latter she begun her carrier by playing for Hofesh Shechter in London for the show "Political Mother ». She also play in Xavier Legrand’s  movie « Jusqu’a la garde », who won many Cesars. 

In 2020 She won the international She Shred competition by composing a riff every day. Rock & Folk magazine consider her one of  the best musician on the planet this year. 

Last year, Frichet compose music for the radio show « La grande traversé Louise Michel » in france Culture and also play at La Comédie Française for the piece « Les Précieuses Ridicules ». She never stop play with his band Pogo Car Crash Control and also found the association « More Women on Stage » to encourage women to play music.
